For this project, I was tasked with turning Dan Carrier’s article about Harry Beck and the iconic Tube maps into a visually engaging magazine spread. My goal was to translate the story into a layout that felt dynamic and approachable, while also creating a poster parade along the side to complement the content.

I focused on balancing design and storytelling, making sure the visuals highlighted the cleverness and influence of Beck’s work. To round out the issue, I also designed a second, off-topic story that kept the magazine cohesive and engaging from start to finish. The project challenged me to think about pacing, hierarchy, and how to make complex information visually appealing for readers.
